EACH WEEK
Week in review
The week's exceptions, agent proposals and engagement economics on one page.
Review is Gauge’s home page. It reads your records and shows what needs a decision this week. Choose From and Through and Review period to look at another week.
Agent proposals
If you run an agent, the drafts it prepared for you appear first: time drafts, staffing alternatives, billing packets and change orders. Each one shows the evidence it cites. Nothing changes until you choose Approve exact proposal; Decline proposal asks for a reason. Read Agents prepare, you approve.
Decisions and exceptions
Each row names one exception and links to the record behind it:
| Exception | Means |
|---|---|
| missing time | A person recorded less time than their calendar makes available in the period |
| overspend | An engagement's approved cost is above its approved budget (finance) |
| capacity conflict | Committed staffing is more than a person's available time on a date |
| availability missing | A person has no calendar for some dates, so their availability is unknown |
| unbilled approved work | Approved work that is not yet in a billing packet (finance) |
| unbilled work missing bill rate | Approved billable time with no bill rate (finance) |
| decision due | Submitted time or expenses, draft terms or milestones, or a proposal waiting for you |
A missing calendar is never read as zero hours: Gauge says the time is unknown instead.
Engagement economics
Each engagement shows its approved hours on the estimate from its latest approved terms. Finance also sees the billable value. Leads and staff see hours, never private costs or rates.
